Congratulations to the West End House Music Clubhouse band who has been invited to perform in New Orleans in front of an audience of 1,500 Boys & Girls Club professionals and supporters.

After winning the prestigious Boys & Girls Clubs of America 2016 National Talent Search, the teens learned that they would be featured guests at the BGCA National Conference!

The West End House’s winning song called “Tell Me,” is an original composition written and sung by 14-year-old Music Clubhouse member, Carolina. The band is comprised of Music Clubhouse members Jonathan (guitar), Jio (drums), and Kevaughn (keyboard). The winning submission can be enjoyed in this music video:

Carolina’s excitement about this recognition is palpable. “I’m very honored and proud. We worked hard for this. It shows that when you work hard and put love into something, you can be successful. I’m hyped!”

The staff at the Clubhouse shares her sentiment. “Being selected to perform at the WEH3_imgsizeNational Conference is a huge source of pride for our kids,” says Music Clubhouse Director Nick Tetrault. “I am most proud of the fact that the music we submitted was 100% original, giving this group a strong sense of ownership and responsibility. The fact that it is music that will bring our youth halfway across the country is a great driver for their artistic ambitions and shows that working hard towards a goal can bring great reward.”

Congratulations to the band members and the entire West End House Music Clubhouse for their hard work, dedication, and talent!
