Announcing Grant Received from Bank of America
Charitable Foundation

Boston, MA, November 2009

The Music and Youth  Initiative is proud to announce a $10,000 grant from the
Bank of America Charitable Foundation.  This grant will provide funding for the
continuing development of a series of instructional materials to be used by all
six Music  Clubhouses.  These Method Books in guitar, keys, drums and  voice
are customized specifically for the Music  Clubhouse environment.

This grant will have a positive impact on over 400 youth each year who take
music lessons at the Music Clubhouses!  We thank the Bank of America
Charitable Foundation for the opportunity to make an even greater impact on
the youth we serve.

"Providing access to the arts - particularly for underserved populations - is an
important goal both locally and nationally for Bank of America," said Bob Gallery,
president, Bank of America Massachusetts. "This investment in the Music and Youth Initiative will enhance music education programs and promote the cultural vibrancy of our communities."

A check award ceremony was held on November 5 at the Grand Opening Celebration of the Dorchester Music Clubhouse.  We extend a thank you to Tianna Isler, Bank of America Fields Corner banking center manager,  for her participation in the award ceremony.
