The Music & Youth Initiative is proud to congratulate the West End House (WEH) Music Clubhouse as a winner of a national merit award.

The National organization of Boys & Girls Clubs has awarded the WEH Music Clubhouse program second place in it national Honor Awards for Program Excellence. This honor recognizes Boys & Girls Clubs that demonstrate the greatest effectiveness in developing and delivering unique programs that meet the needs of the local community. In particular, the award recognizes programs that are high-quality, creative and comprehensive.

The WEH Music Clubhouse, sponsored by Music & Youth Initiative, is run by the West End House Boys & Girls Clubs, located in Allston, MA. The Music Clubhouse opened in September of 2006 and has over 200 visits a week and over 60 regular members. The Music Clubhouse has become a major draw for existing and new members to the Boys & Girls Clubs. Music Clubhouse members frequently perform at family nights and other club events and are justifiably proud of their achievements.
