Announcing our Fourth Music Clubhouse and News of Some Great Programs from our Clubhouses

We are very pleased to announce the opening of our fourth Music Clubhouse at the Hyde Square Task Force!!
In addition, we are excited to share some of the great events that have been held recently at our Music Clubhouses. For many of our Music Clubhouse members the opportunity to perform at an event or get exposure to a real "rock star" gives them a chance to showcase their skills and learn new ones.
It is great to see their self-confidence and feeling of accomplishment!
HSTF Music Clubhouse Opens
We are very pleased to announce the opening of the HSTF Music Clubhouse hosted by the Hyde Square Task Force in Jamaica Plain, Boston. The Hyde Square Task Force is a Community Based Organization that has been a leader in Youth Leadership and Development for over 15 years
The new 1000 square foot Music Clubhouse provides free music lessons, practice facilities, a recording studio and opportunities for performances. At the recent Grand Opening, there were over 200 people from the community on hand to welcome the Music Clubhouse!

For the second year in a row, the Lawrence Music Clubhouse showcased some great talent at their Clubhouse Idol competition.
There were over 250 family members and friends cheering the performers on. Even in its second year, this event has become a "must attend" for the family, friends and staff of the Lawrence YMCA.
The youth at the Blue Hill Music Clubhouse got a chance to jam with Tom Hamilton, Bass player for the world renowned rock group Aerosmith, and a member of the Music & Youth Initiative Board of Directors
Tom spent some time playing music with groups of two drummers at a time. More than 16 young people got a chance to participate in this very special event!
Building on the strength of the LMC Idol program, the West End House held its first Clubhouse Idol competition. Over 150 cheering parents and friends enjoyed a great show of talent.
Given its great success, the WEH Clubhouse Idol very well might become an annual event!
