We are currently sponsoring nine Clubhouses. Seven of our sites are Music Clubhouses and two Studio Clubhouses (our latest project) are all located in Massachusetts. Our Clubhouse members are underserved urban youth, ages 10 to 18. Each Clubhouse offers music workshops with state of the art musical instruments, recording equipment and related computer hardware and applications. There are either no fees or minimal fees to members to participate in Clubhouse activities.Music Clubhouse Locations:
Music & Youth Initiative developed our first clubhouse in collaboration with the Merrimack Valley YMCA. The Lawrence Branch of the YMCA runs the Clubhouse program in its Lawrence facility. The LMC opened in February 2005 and currently provides state of the art music education and enrichment to more than 100 young people weekly.
West End House Music Clubhouse (WEH)
Our second clubhouse, the West End House Music Clubhouse, opened in September 2006, in collaboration with the West End House Boys & Girls Club and Berklee College of Music. The West End Boys & Girls Club runs this program in its Allston facility.
Blue Hill Music Clubhouse
Our third clubhouse opened in September 2007 in partnership with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston and the Berklee College of Music. The clubhouse is located in Dorcherster, MA.
Our fourth clubhouse opened in 2008 hosted by the Hyde Square Task Force in Jamaica Plain, Boston. The Hyde Square Task Force is a Community Based Organization that has been a leader in Youth Leadership and Development for over 15 years.
Sociedad Latina is an outstanding Community Based Organization that has served the Mission Hill neighborhood of Boston for many years.
The Dorchester Music Clubhouse is 1,000+ square feet of FUN! The space includes a large open floor performance space packed with instruments, a practice room big enough for a whole band, and a multi-track recording studio!
Roxbury Music Clubhouse
The Roxbury Music Clubhouse is the latest, most state of the art music facility! The Roxbury Clubhouse marks our sixth Clubhouse in partnership with the Berklee College of Music as well as our second Clubhouse with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston. Opened in 2010, the Clubhouse adds to the amazing work that the Yawkey Boys and Girls Club has been offering the community of Roxbury/Dudley Square for 100 years!

Everett Studio Clubhouse
We are very proud to introduce our very first Studio Clubhouse, opened in 2010 at the Everett Boys and Girls Club in Everett Ma. A Studio Clubhouse operates much like a Music Clubhouse offering a wide variety of musical activities revolving around the subject of music production and recording. Students create their own compositions, beats, lyrics while working on producing a CD of original music. This fast paced studio turns out hit singles all while impacting the youth who participate.
Lynn Studio Clubhouse
The Music & Youth Initiative is very pleased to announce the opening of our second Studio Clubhouse! We have partnered with the Lynn YMCA in Lynn, Massachusetts to launch a Studio Clubhouse for the youth in their community.
The Studio Clubhouse will focus on music recording, video production, lyric writing, beat making and vocals.
The Lynn Studio Clubhouse has built up a lot excitement and teens, staff and volunteers couldn't wait to start working on projects when they opened their doors in early September 2011!
